Paul Tudor Jones Risks His Sex Life For Romney

It’s looking more and more like “Hope and Change” is a platform that will only get your so far with the electorate.  However, the stunning fall in popularity of President Obama is even more shocking given the weakness of the candidate he will in all likelihood lose to in November.

One of the most ominous signs to me that Obama will be “one and done”  is that the “smart money” has not only lined up behind that candidate, but is willing to risk sleeping the couch by doing so.

From Politico:

The race between President Obama and Mitt Romney is pitting one wealthy couple against each other.

Hedge fund magnate Paul Tudor Jones was an early Obama supporter and fundraiser in 2007 — but defected to Romney this cycle. Jones gave $200,000 to the super PAC backing Romney in December.

His wife Sonia Tudor Jones, however, is apparently still committed to Obama. She was spotted Thursday at an exclusive $40,000-per-person fundraiser with Obama at actress Sarah Jessica Parker’s New York City home.

If Tudor Jones was just making a political call here it would be bad enough for the President as he is known for hedging his political bets early and then cutting losers when he thinks the outcome is clear.

But for him to risk being “cut off” by Mrs. Tudor Jones, well, he must feel that Romney is a lock.

Obama is done, his own party bigwigs know it, as most fair minded old school dems.
Now the question is: Will his party allow him to take down other dems in November or will they find a gracious way for him to leave with dignity and put in Hillary at the last moment?

And Brian, love the blog man! Can really relate since I used to live in O.C. during the ’80s and spent much time surfing and listening to KROQ before moving to Seattle.

So funny, I still think of KROQ at “Rock of the 80′s” HAH….I’m so old :)

Obama spent $5 trillion just in his first 3 years and we still don’t know who the hell he is. He has sealed up his college records, sealed the source of the money he got when he went to college as a “foreign student” though supposedly born in the U.S., and David Axelrod calls him “black Jesus.” Sordid Reverend Jeremiah Wright has influenced Obama – hey, give me Mormon bookkeeper Romney to replace self-anointed rockstar community organizer Obama, who never led anything in his life before now. We’re frustrated, we’re disappointed, and it’s the fault of the guy in the White House. We must dump King Hopeychange before he spends us bankrupt.

It seems so calculated … my limitation, I think: hard to be sanguine about large bits of money being thrown in opposite directions and with indelicate chasms on things not relating to the economy.

I, umm, would take it badly.

Can a couple hold hands at the movie with such deep sociological differences? I’d probably put too much salt in his popcorn.

Sorry Charlie, but Obama won’t lose in November. Even money can’t buy a Mormon the White House… not in our lifetime. If you think a Mormon, any Mormon, will be elected President, you’re smoking crack. Once Mitt is officially nominated, the whole sordid Mormon thing will be dragged out into public view, and he’ll be burnt toast.

      • Jim Nazyum

funny how that “whole sordid mormon thing” gets dragged out into public view when the same people doing it did everything in their power, and keep doing everything in their power, to cover up everything in obama’s sordid past.

I’m not crazy about Obama but I also recognize that anyone in the hot seat over the past four years would have had the same problems.

That said, I’d go with the devil I know as it appears that “Austerity” Romney will rip the guts out of any life the economy has in it.
